Reserving a Spot in Class
We highly recommend that you sign-up in advance due to our limited class size.
Yes, in order to reserve a spot online, you must create a profile. If you decide to walk in for your first class, please arrive at least 10 minutes early. Your instructor can create your profile and help you choose the best package for purchase. Once at home, you can create your own username and password.
If you do not want to put yourself on a class list or the waitlist days in advance, then we recommend checking the scheduling page a few hours before class or the night before. Often times clients will "late cancel" themselves (meaning they cancelled within the 12 hour cancellation window), at which point waitlist clients are no longer automatically moved into the class. Thus, spots will open up but will not automatically be filled unless a client signs-up for the class.
Absolutely... as long as you have a current account and an active class package.
Cancelling A Class
Any member with more than 3 Late Cancellations and/or No Shows in a month will be charged an additional $25 class courtesy fee to their credit card on file without notice. Each subsequent Late Cancellation and/or No Show in that 30-day period results in an additional $25 fee. There are no exceptions to this rule.
– On the website, once you login to your account click the “my Account” tab along the top. Then click “My Schedule”. Then click either “Cancel" or "Late Cancel” next to the class you will not attend.
– On the app, once you login, tap the class you wish to cancel. Then tap “Cancel Booking”.
To cancel a class you must do so on the website or your app. You cannot cancel class by email or voicemail. We may not receive that message in time and you could incur a no show fee.
If you show up to attend a class that you did not sign up for, your account will be adjusted depending on the circumstances. You may attend the class if there are available spots, and you will be charged accordingly. If you missed the class you were signed up for, the No Show policy will apply. A No Show results in a loss of class AND a $5 fee for members with class packages, or a $15 fee is charged for unlimited members. If the class you signed up for has not yet occurred, you can cancel out of that class. If that class is less than 12 hours it will be a Late Cancellation which results in loss of class for members with a class package, or unlimited members are charged $10. When you sign-up for a class, we will send you a confirmation. We urge you to add classes to your calendar.

- – Then check the texts you wish to receive, especially "Reminders and schedule changes".
- – Then, on your phone, you must text START to 619-493-3850.
Until the late cancellation period begins (12 hours prior to class), when a spot opens you will automatically be added to the class. You will be notified via text message. You can choose to decline via text. However, if you do not decline, you are in the class. If you are no longer able to attend this waitlisted class, remove yourself from the class. If you are added from the waitlist, you are responsible for your spot in class. A Waitlist Cancellation or No Show is subject to the same fee as a normal reservation.
After the 12-hour cancellation period begins, you can check online to see if a spot opens up in class. In other words, when a member late cancels their class, that spot will be there for you to sign up.
Nothing. The waitlist becomes locked. Clients on the waitlist once the 12-hour cancellation window has passed, will remain on the waitlist and will not be automatically moved into class. If you would still like to attend that class, you must check the schedule for openings during the 12-hour period prior to class. If a spot opens up, you may sign up for that class.
You are basically signing up for 2 classes. So remember to cancel yourself off the class list and/or the waitlist 12 hours prior to the beginning of the class you no longer wish to attend class.
No. Once the 12-hour late-cancel window has opened the waitlist is locked. No one on the waitlist will be automatically added to the class at this point. If you were not added and would still like to take the class, keep your eye on the registration numbers. If someone late cancels and a spot opens up, you can manually add yourself to the class by signing up through the online registration system.
– To remove yourself from the waitlist on the website, login to your account and click the “My Account” tab at the top and then click “My Schedule”. Under my schedule you will see “Waitlist” in blue font on the right side. Click on “Waitlist” and click “Cancel” next to the class you do not wish to attend.
– On the app, tap the class you wish to cancel and then tap “Leave Waitlist”.
You can sign up for the waitlist weeks to days in advance. To increase your chances of getting transferred into the class, we recommend that you sign up early. The earlier you place yourself on the waitlist, the better your chances are of being moved up from the waitlist.
Payments and Class Packages
WE ONLY ACCEPT CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS. AMEX, Visa, Discover, Mastercard. You can pay online or in the studio. You must have a CC of file in order to attend class due to our late-cancel and no-show policies.
You have 2 options... If you no longer have available classes, the system will prompt you to pay once you try ot enroll in a class. 2nd Option...Once you've created your profile, click on the "Purchase Classes" tab toward the top of the page. Then choose "Classes" or "Personal Training." Then choose the package of your choice.
You can purchase classes at the studio, but to streamline the process we encourage you to enter your credit card information to your account.
It really depends on how often you attend classes. The unlimited memberships are set up as the better deal for members that attend 3+ times a week.
Class packages activate on the sale date. Unlimited memberships activate on the day of your first reservation after purchase. Expirations vary. Please look at the service notes listed beneath each package prior to purchase.
Yes and No. You can share your Class Packages with 1 other person. You may not share our specials, monthly or yearly memberships. Remember: if you choose to share a package, you are also sharing the late cancels (3).
At Evolve, we utilize the Gravity Training System (GTS) to facilitate our members’ fitness goals with low impact and maximum efficiency. Each machine can be customized to your fitness level, literally, by adjusting the amount of incline on the machine itself! Since you will be using your own body weight to provide the resistance, the incline determines the level of intensity. We love our gravity machines, and we’re sure you will too!
New members will be more comfortable if they are familiar with the GTS machine and the names of its parts. Download our Gravity Machine Introduction
Bring water, a towel and wear comfortable shoes/workout clothing. Some other optional items you may want to bring are: a heart rate monitor and "clip-in" cycling shoes. Remember, you will need tennis shoes for the strength portion of class.
This really depends on your current level of fitness. If you are participating in a variety of different class formats, then it is potentially healthy to come every day, but we recommend taking at least 1-2 rest days per week for muscle recovery.
If it’s your first visit, or if you are joining the class as a walk-in, please arrive 10 minutes prior to class start time. Returners should plan to arrive 5 minutes early.
If you arrive more than 5 minutes late to class, your spot will be given to someone who is waiting to drop in. Don’t be late to avoid being disappointed when you arrive and someone else is in your spot! It is important to be on time to avoid disrupting class, and to provide time to adjust equipment to your desired settings. We understand life happens, but please do your best to plan for traffic, parking, etc.
Yes. If you have an "unlimited" membership or bought a package of classes, you can sign up for as many classes as you wish to in a single day. If you bought a promotional month or recurring month membership, you can make upto 1 reservation/day for an entire month. With the latter memberships, making a 2nd reservation in one day requires that you purchase a separate class.
Any of our fusion classes are a great option for beginning cyclists. We highly recommend you arrive early to get properly set up on the bike. And always inform the instructor that you are new to indoor cycling.
We recommend that you start with our Ride & GlideFB class which is a great introduction to our fusion style classes. Always inform the instructor of your fitness level and concerns you may have.
First, consult your physician to see if it is safe for you to begin an exercise program. Second, all of the classes at Evolve are low-impact and small in size, so we are able to make certain modifications to accommodate your needs. If you feel you need more attention than what the instructor can provide, we recommend signing up for a few personal training sessions until you feel more comfortable with the equipment and exercises. Pregnant women are encouraged to wear a heart rate monitor. With all of that said, we recommend you start with our Ride & GlideFB class as a great introduction to our fusion style classes.
No. Gravity is Pilates on STEROIDS!! Pilates is performed on a Reformer which is similar to a Gravity machine. Gravity classes are performed on the award winning Total Gym GTS (Gravity Training System) which offers multiple levels of incline resistance that can be calibrated to meet the needs of each individual client. Levels range from easy and therapeutic to extremely challenging. Using dynamic cable pulleys and a padded glide-board, the Gravity Training System challenges clients to build strength, flexibility, core stability and muscular endurance all with minimal impact to the joints.
Our schedule is currently set based on client demand and our format/instructor availability. However, we always love to hear your suggestions and feedback.
It is important to pre-register for your class so that the instructor is aware of how many members plan on attending. Any class that DOES NOT have at least 2 members signed up are subject to being cancelled. This cancellation can occur upto 12 hours prior to class start time. Although this is rare, the client will receive a cancellation email notification prior to the beginning of class. Make sure you have "opted in" for emails.
Facility Info and Location
You will quickly see Evolve is a very intimate studio. In other words, we make the most out of a small space. Our limited space also limits class size, which allows for lots of personal attention (you’ll never be lost in the crowd here).
To accommodate as many members as possible, we scheduled classes every hour. Therefore, Evolve members help us get ready for the next class when their class is over. It is important to always turn your bike gear down 1. The lowest gear releases tension on the bike and increases lifespan. The gravity machines should be raised to the highest level at the top of the tower. The squat stand can be lowered to the lowest click. Pulleys should be clipped on the top rung of the tower, and lat bars should be in their upright position.
You will see bottles of spray cleaner and a towel at each gravity station, as well as in the cycling room. When class is over please wipe down all the parts of the equipment you touched. The next member will appreciate it when they get on a clean machine!
Twice a day, we change all of the towels used to clean machines. The teacher will put a bag of dirty towels in the middle of the room. If you finish the last class in the morning or the evening, please place your cleaning towel in the dirty laundry bag. The teacher will replace those with clean towels before they leave.
This may sound confusing at first, but it will become second nature after a couple of classes! If you are new to Evolve, come to classes 10 minutes early to allow time to change your shoes, and set-up your bike or gravity machine. Once you have become accustomed to the equipment and studio policies, 5 minutes will give you plenty of time to get ready.
There is ample street parking in front of the studio on Lewis Street, and along the two side streets. However, lots of members either walk or ride their bikes to increase their exercise.
